LENS is an interactive animation concerned with reducing everyday Gossip and its negative impact on social relationships, with possibilities for wider implications regarding international disorder.
Audiences will have the opportunity to explore different storylines by making choices when the protagonist is confronted with questionable evidence. The trailer demonstrates a key interaction and some of the crucial segments of the animation to inform about this future production.
Through interactive animation, a recent format, the project conveys the core idea: “the limitations of information spread via social interactions, charaterised by potentially malicious gossip”.
To explore whether VR technology could better stimulate the immersion benefits of interactive film, I tested a VR preview of one of the key scenes.
